They have the significant benefit of enabling you to use your stones down to the last 1mm and beyond, avoiding the waste that comes from using most normal stone holders.

Although ideally used on the Nano Hone Stone Stage, these versatile aluminium backing plates can also be fitted to an Ito stone holder.
